As dark descends upon the Alps
I seek the castle keep
Along the banks of Thunersee
Where the magic's deep

Once darkness shrouds, the ruins wake
The ghosts and all their sins
Ancient lords, with prison hordes
When Black Waltz begins

Four hundred years
Of swords and spears
Summon forth from deathly trance
A dark mass is now, to spirits bow
Black Waltz is their midnight dance


In the heart of Switzerland
In the dark of night
I crave their grace, turn to face
And speak the ancient rite

I shan't return from Black Waltz
Never know my fate
I still give thanks, to join their ranks
Eternal ghastly state

Eastward I go, now that I know
Rejected by the dark ghost
I will be back, when heart is black
To join them in their wraith host

What I saw at Weissenau

To take my breath, the dance of death
